Spot Goes Splash! (Spot Bath Books)
Published in Paperback by Putnam Pub Group Juv (July, 2003)
Average review score:

A fun book!I bought this book when my son was 6 months old. From the first reading, it's been one of his favorites. We started just pointing and naming objects: flowers, ball, house, etc. More than a year later, we're still reading it, but now we're counting the flowers, describing the ball's shape or the house's color, etc. It's proved to be versatile. The simple, yet pleasing, pictures of Spot splashing in the garden, in rain puddles, at the beach and in the bathtub are perfect for babies and toddlers. One caution: once my son learned to splash in the tub, we had to start explaining that we don't splash water all over the bathroom! I'd definitely buy it again.

To the Tub

Hilarious, Heartwarming and Fun!!Peggy gave me this book, autographed to my children, in 1996 when we went to the same church. I didnt know then what a big difference this one book would have to us. It actually improved our love of books. Its been my children's favorites ever since and its held up through 3 childrens' handling and reading. The story is colorful, imaginative and everyone loves it! I'm so proud of her books, especially this one, that has continued to warm our hearts even after 4 years of reading it frequently. If you want a book that will endure years of reading and enjoyment, the kind of book that gets passed down in the family.. this is the one to get. You will treasure this one always, like we do. Toddler Story Book: Ting-a-ling!
Published in Hardcover by Dk Pub Merchandise (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Ting a Ling rings right with us!My 10-month daughter squeals with delight when she sees this book on her table! The simple story of a child playing on her toy phone coupled with nice bright drawings is captivating for little ones. Objects in the story are familiar to most every child's nursery and the story has a sweet ending. The book is not too long, not too short -- just right for young attention spans. Pages are durable enough for little hands to turn them. We initially borrowed this one from the local library, but are buying it for our permanent collection.

Tommy Takes a Bath.
Published in Hardcover by Houghton Mifflin Co (Juv) (October, 1971)
Average review score:

My first book. This was actually my fist book I remember. And now my daughter has interhited it from me. She's enjoying it as much as I did. This time the book is about Tommy's bath. Well, attempted bath, housecleaning, teddy wash etc. As most books by Gunilla Wolde, this book breathes commitment, the reader and his/her parents will have 10-15 enjoyable minutes while reading this.

Turkish Baths: A Guide to the Historic Turkish Baths of Istanbul
Published in Paperback by Citlembik LTD (01 April, 2003)
Average review score:

A brilliant guideI think this is a very good book on the subject, because it not only provides a historical introduction to Turkish baths, but it is also a practical guide. I liked the comprehensiveness of the introduction, because it is easy and very interesting to read. It's not like a history book. You can actually feel the author's love of the subject. And it turned out to be a reliable guide as well. I was in Istanbul last week and bought the book on recommendation of a friend. I was absolutely delighted to have discovered a non-touristic 17th century Turkish bath in the Sariyer district of Istanbul, thanks to this guide. I well impressed my friends with my knowledge of the subject as well, I think! And I just love the pictures.

Undesigning the Bath
Published in Paperback by Stone Bridge Press (June, 1996)
Average review score:

An extraordinary collection of bathing environmentsWhen my architect was beginning to design my new bathroom, I gave him a copy of this gem. He said it provided the inspiration for mine and every bath he's designed since. I've given copies to few other friends who were in a similar architectural process. I've received profuse thanks. If you're planning to build an unusual bath, I think this book is a must read.

BathtimeMarjolein Bastin does it again! Vera in the washtub outlines the joys of getting messy and then becoming clean again. As always, faithfull dollie is present. Also in this book are Little Chick, Ladybug, and Mrs. Bumble. Vera's little neighbor, a shrew named Fritz, joins in on the fun. This is one of my all time favorite Vera books. Anyone who likes great artwork will love this book, as Marjolein Bastin does an incredible job with the illustrations. This book is a must-have for anyone who likes mice or bathtime!
